Unexpected Year 1 Day 8

Today, is a week since I met the two girls. A lot has happened in a week. I went over to Elisabeth’s house, which, surprisingly, she lives right across the street from me. I never expected that Elisabeth, a very nice girl, would be an orphan with her older brother watching over her. So technically not a real orphan but still an orphan. Their parents died when she was little, and her brother Siegfried was only a teenager. They inherited their family’s wealth, and moved into their summer home.

This is a sad part of my update for the week, but I never chose to talk about it. My father committed suicide three days after I was born. My mom always told me he loved me, but he just couldn’t save himself from his demons. But when I went over to Jennette’s house I saw something, well more like someone that I didn’t expect. I saw my father; he was sleeping on Jennette’s couch he was drunk. I could smell the alcohol and it seemed like that was the first time I ever saw Jennette seem empathetic towards me.

This is the third part, and this is about Jennette. She lives alone with her father because when Jennette was eight her mother left after an argument with her father. Jennette has never seen her mother since then. Her father is a drug dealer and an alcoholic, one that enjoys taking his anger out on his daughter. It is no wonder that Jennette is so rude and boorish; she has no choice but to defend herself, and she trusts no man because of her own father. I would love to be able to help her, but she doesn’t seem to really want my help, or to really be in the same room with me.

Anyways, to continue on what I was discussing about my week with them it was cool. Elisabeth’s brother Siegfried is an inventor and an electrical engineer. He is super intelligent and pretty cool, but he has a habit of accidentally blowing things up. This led to him having a very close relationship with the firemen of the town, though I doubt they really enjoy his calls. The fire chief seemed quite annoyed with Siegfried’s lack of fire safety; at the time it was rather irritating. I honestly don’t know; I can’t read minds or anything. But one invention that hasn’t messed up yet is the cooking machine in their kitchen. You simply type in what you want and it shows the ingredients and if you need some; it also gives you substitute foods incase you are out or even allergic.

To be quite honest Siegfried and I got along instantly, we were both computer nerds, but I was definitely not at his level of intellect, but it was still alright. Jennette seemed to really like being around Siegfried when he made a new invention. Maybe it was just to watch the fireworks, or maybe she actually enjoyed seeing his giddy child like nature; I couldn’t tell. I rather was getting closer with Elisabeth, though I even was told by her to call her Eli or Liz, but I couldn’t do that. Elisabeth was too much of a beautiful name, and I couldn’t hold back from saying it.

Jennette always made fun of me about how I acted around Elisabeth, but I didn’t really care. She was just jealous I was giving Elisabeth all the attention. I did get the impression sometimes that Jennette wanted me to give her more attention, but I quickly abandoned this notion as she would then assault me the moment I did. She was a very abrasive girl, there was no doubt in that, but after a week I knew that me, her, and Elisabeth were going to be around each other for quiet a while.
